Assessment of trees. Basic level – Inspection

Basic level manual for tree assessment includes content corresponding to the tasks performed during
tree inspection: visual tree assessment; the specificity of the species; the impact of fungi on trees;
important for predicting the risk of tree fall and dieback; assessment of trees in investment areas;
determining the value of trees; including habitat assessment. An important part is the compilation of
new knowledge about trees – biology and biomechanics at different tree development stages. The
manual also contains materials on dendrometry and identifying tree species – necessary for tree
description. The textbook consists of a set of mini-books illustrated with drawings and photographs
that help in self-education or use of content in the field.
